Timber Management Services, LLC is a logging company and buyers of standing timber. We are also land buyers. We are based out of Ohio but also work in eastern Indiana, Western PA, Michigan, and southern MI. We specialize in select harvest with our primary timber focus being walnut, white oak, cherry, hard maple, soft maple, and hickory.


We are lovers of nature and recreational land. We have been in the timber buying industry for 10+ years and offer competitive prices for standing timber. We are knowledgeable of how to harvest trees properly with as little destruction to the surrounding nature as possible.

    All paths and landings are back graded.  Water bars are installed on all hills and reseeded.

    We will if it is a tree we can use for veneer like walnut or white oak.

SELECT TREE HARVESTING

Approximately 84 percent of Ohio's forest land is owned by private woodland owners. Each year many of these individuals receive significant income by harvesting their trees. Timber management services follow management guidelines in selecting those trees to be harvested and to leave the other trees standing.  This will improve the health and vigor of their forest, as well as, improve its quality for other uses.


There are several types of harvesting methods, clearcut, shelterwood, seed tree, group selection, and single tree selection.  Each type of harvest method has its advantages and drawbacks.  No one type of harvesting method is good for every situation. We will guide you to the method or methods we feel are best for your land and the species of trees we will be harvesting.
